Session on “Woman’s Health Conclave”; 4th March 2024
Rotary Club Gurgaon organized a Session on “Woman’s Health Conclave” which was held on 4th March 2024 at Treehouse Queens Pearl Gurugram after regular club meeting. Introduction of in-house Speaker Dr. Savita Chaudhary was read by Dr. Rashmi Khurana. Rtn. Dr. Savita Choudhary and R’anne Dr. Nidhi Rawal conducted the session on “Woman’s Health Conclave” (Health across all age groups) A panel discussion by woman doctors in association with IMA Gulabi Pankh, Gurugram – as 8th March is world Women Day. PP Dr. Pushpa Sethi delved into the profound issues surrounding adolescence, highlighting it as the period of transition between childhood and adulthood, typically ranging from ages 13 to 17. Dr. Rashmi Khurana shed light on the significance of nutrition, focusing particularly on topics such as Vitamin D and the impact of pollution on health. Dr. Savita Chopra shared her extensive experience in addressing mammography-related concerns, spanning a dedicated 25-year period. Since joining the Rotary Club Gurgaon, she has conducted mammograms for 15,000 patients. Additionally, she organized mammography camps last year, facilitating discussions on cancer awareness, distributing sanitary pads, and conducting mammography screenings. Dr. Himanshu Lall delved into various critical health topics, including menstruation, cholesterol, obesity, weight management, and diet during the session. She emphasized the necessity of obtaining sufficient sleep, recommending a duration of 9 hours, and advocated for incorporating yoga, exercise, and other activities to maintain overall health.
