On 21st May 2023, Sunday, Rotary Club, Gurgaon, distributed 11 state of art wheelchairs to physically disabled inmates of ‘Deepashram’ a ‘Brothers  of Charity’ organisation under ‘Project आत्मनिर्भर’.  We are very grateful to DG Rtn Ashok Kantoor, the Chief Guest for this event for sparing his valuable time.  This project was coordinated by Dr Savita Chopra, VP Rotary club Gurgaon with full support from Rotary Divyang Kendra and Rtn. Sanjay Agarwal, President Rotary Club Delhi Central.  We are extremely grateful to the large number of our club members, Distt team members and other honourable guests who graced above events despite extremely hot conditions and encouraged us.

Project Nai Pathshala

Rebirth of GMS Primary School, Sec 31, Gurgaon

Rotary Club Gurgaon adopted GMS Primary School, Sector 31, Gurgaon under Project Nai Pathshala on 20th February 2023 and the project was completed on 21st May 2023. The major expenditure for project was contributed by CSR support of Rs.6.74 Lacs by COFCO International Pvt. Ltd.

 

Following activities were undertaken under Project Nai Pathshala

  1. Water proofing and report of roof to stop seepage
  2. Completed renovation of 5 toilets (two boys toilets + two girls toilets + 1 boys urinal block). This included new sanitary fittings, complete tiling, fixing of new doors and proper drainage facility.
  3. Creations of 3 Hand wash Stations with proper tiling.
  4. Creating of a Library with suitable furniture
  5. Repair and renovation of two drinking water stations with tiling and drainage facility.
  6. Tiling repair with proper drainage of utensil washing facility
  7. Repair tiling and drainage of Kitchen
  8. Complete painting of the premises with proper signage.
  9. Additional electrical and plumbing work where ever required.
  10. Maintenance of School Garden
  11. Provision of 80 Yoga mats.

 

The school has been promised 250 sets of tables and chair (recycled from Rotary Public School).

 

The renovated school was handed over to School, Staff and Students of GMS Primary School, Sector 31, Gurgaon by DG RID 3011 Rtn. Ashok Kantoor the Chief Guest for the event.

 

Blood Donation Camp; 20th May 2023

Our Club organized Blood Donation Camp on 20th May 2023 at Rotary Public School, Gurgaon. 117 units were collected. Our Interact Club of RPS actively participated in this camp.

MALHAAR Installation Ceremony Aagaaz….. the Beginning was held on 12th May 2023 at CSOI Chanakyapuri, New Delhi. Charter Chairman Rtn. Dinesh Jain and Charter Secretary our IPP Rtn. Hitesh Jain. It was very well managed event and all enjoyed this event.

Health Seminar; 27th April 2023

Rotary Club Gurgaon organized Health Seminar on 27 April 2023 at Rotary Public School, Gurgaon in association with MPH society of IMA Gurgaon. Rtn. Dr Savita Chaudhary started the program in the RPS Amphitheater to educate students regarding health and emotional aspects of adolescence. Blood samples of all children were taken for HB% testing.

Annual event Investure Ceremony of our Rotary Public School ‘Accolades’ was held on 22nd April 2023. Chief Guest was Mr. Bodh Raj Sikri, Vice Chairman, Haryana State CSR Trust, Member GMDA. This event was very well coordinated and well covered by Media. House congratulated SMC Chairman PP Paramjit Singh Oberoi, Principal and all school staff. Our Interactors students were actively participated in this event.
