The first pond rejuvenation project by any Rotary Club in North India

Rotary Club Gurgaon; The first pond rejuvenation project by any Rotary Club in North India; the inauguration of our Mega Project Pushkar which was held on 11th June 2023 and the project were completed on 11th June 2023. The major expenditure for project was contributed by CSR support of Rs.19.2 Lacs by Johnson Controls India Pvt Ltd (JCIPL) at Sham Baba Mandir Complex, Dhankot, Gurugram, Haryana, for water conservation by rejuvenation of percolation pond through recharge pits with CSR support from Johnson Controls India Pvt Ltd (JCIPL).  This project involves Revival of an existing pond, approx 3000 sq yd in size. Chief Guest was DG Rtn. Ashok Kantoor, Guest of Honour – Mr Arun Awasthy, VP & MD JCIPL; Shri Subhash Yadav, Additional CEO, Urban Environment GMDA, Gurgaon, District Team RID 3011, Members of Sham Baba Mandir Trust, Dhankot Panchayat, MCG Team, Senior Leadership team of JCIPL, PHDRDF; Team RPS and last but not the least President Brig. (Retd.) V K Chopra, PDG Dr Sushil Khurana, PP Subhash Chand Singla + more than 25 members attended this event. We are grateful to all members and spouses who attended the event despite a high temperature.

Host District Seminar on ‘Human Rights’; 10th June 2023

President informed the House that our Club was one of the host clubs in a District Seminar on ‘Human Rights’ organised by Rotary Club Humanity which was held on 10 June 2023 at PHD Chambers of Commerce, New Delhi. It was very well organised event, excellent talk with eminent speaker on board. President Brig. (Retd.) V K Chopra, VP Dr. Savita Chopra and PP Dr. Pushpa Sethi attended this prestigious event.

Celebrated Rotary Theme “Grow Food, not tobacco” at Shyam Baba Mandir; 31st May 2023

Rotary Club Gurgaon provided Lunch on the occasion of Rotary Theme “Grow Food, not tobacco” at Sham Baba Mandir, Dhankot Gurugram. More than 550 peoples including children benefitted. It was attended by President Brig. (Retd.) V K Chopra, VP Dr. Savita Chopra.

Tree Plantation Drive; 31st May 2023

Rotary Club Gurgaon organized NID Polio on 29th May 2023 at Sector 31, Polyclinic Gurgaon. Our Club distributed snacks and more than 337 children were given polio drops. It was attended by President Brig. (Retd.) V K Chopra, VP Dr. Savita Chopra.

Review Meeting of Project Nai Pathshala at GMS Primary School, Sec 31, Gurgaon; 29th May 2023

Rotary Club Gurgaon along with Senior Management of COFCO International Pvt. Ltd. visited Sector 31, Gurgaon on 29th May 2023 early morning and were very pleased to see the project. PDG Dr Sushil Khurana presented Mementoes to CEO, CFO and HR Director of the Company as a mark of gratitude. Rtn.
