Rotary Club Gurgaon Kick started Tree Planation Drive with over 2000 saplings with Aman Foundation at Sector 34, Gurugram. Chief Guest was Sh Sudhir Singla MLA Gurugram who was inducted as Honorary Member of our club. GOH AG Mukta Malhotra, Dist Chair Tree plantation PP Lalit Mattu, PDG Dr Sushil Khurana, President Hitesh Jain along with 25 Rotarians participated for this event.
Our club gave 2000 Vehicle Stickers to Rotaractors of NorthCap University and Sushant University respectively for distribution to staff of universities and their surroundings areas.
4th Board Meeting was held on 8th July 2021 at the virtual platform. Many projects were discussed and important decision taken for the Rotary Year 2021-22. It was very fruitful meeting.
Our first regular club meeting was held on 5th July 2021. In-House Speaker was Rtn. Amit Singh. He gave an elaborate talk on Digitalization of Rotary. His talk was very useful and informative which was well appreciated by all.
Rotary Club Gurgaon in association with Roop Polymers Ltd donated the Maruti Ertiga van to Accidental Rescue Team in presence of Hon’ble Shri K K Rao, Commissioner of Police at their headquarter. This Van will be used in the rescue operations of Trauma cases in Gurugram. This van was donated by President Hitesh Jain and PP Anil Jain under CSR. PDG Dr Sushil Khurana and Hony Secretary Manish Aggarwal also joined for this event.
District Installation Ceremony was held on 3rd July 2021 at Hotel Leela Ambience, Gurugram. Due to Covid guidelines only President’s from Clubs were allowed to attend Installation Ceremony. Event was divided at three locations. Personalised Collar with name was conferred to Presidents by District Governor Rtn Anup Mittal besides a gift & certificate. It was attended by President Hitesh Jain, PP Mandeep Kishore Goel and PP O P Pahwa from our club. It was very well managed event.
PP Paramjit Singh Oberoi took the charge of Chairman from PDG Dr Sushil Khurana & PP Sanjay Jain as Vice Chairman from PP Anil Jain of School Managing Committee of Rotary Public School Gurgaon. We congratulate & wish best of luck to both of them.
As first project, our Club started the Awareness Campaign for Environmental Safety to paste & distribute Vehicle Stickers with awareness message. The campaign started at Rotary Public School, Gurgaon. Stickers were also sent to all members and rotaractors at their doorstep so that everyone can use them for their family, friends & neighbors vehicle and enhance awareness about environment and Rotary Image in Public. In all 10000 stickers were distributed.
