Quality time with inmates of Ashraya – home; 22nd August 2024
Rotary Club Gurgaon members spent “Quality time with inmates of Ashraya – Home for Destitute Women” on 22nd August 2024 at Sultanpur Farrukhnagar Road Gurgaon. Our members celebrated birthday of Rtn Rajeev K Gupta followed by breakfast at Sultanpur Fun Village. Our Club distributed Dresses / Ceiling Fans / Slippers/ Fruits and Vegetables/ Clothes drying Stands courtesy Rtn Rajeev Kr Gupta. Large steel storage trunks courtesy Rtn Amit Singh. We are also thankful to Rtn Rajeev K Gupta, Rtn Pooja Guptpa, Ansh, Sanya, Rtn Amit Gupta, Rtn Amit Singh, Rtn Dr Kapil Lall, Rtn Gulshan Papreja, Rtn Tarun Arora, Hon Sec Prashant Gaba, PP Dilip Grover, Rtn Davinder Jain and PP Dr Mandeep Kishore Goel for active participation. Tree Plantation Drive; 20th August 2024
Magic of Rotary. Our Club planted mango sapling brought from Rotary Club of Pepper Town Pulpally Dist Wayanad by Rtn Sanil Sadanandan Hon Sec at Rotary Public School Gurgaon along with our Interactors in the presence of Chairman School Management Committee PP Paramjit Singh Oberoi and Director / Principal Sandeepa Rai of Rotary Public School. Rtn Sanil and his wife have driven down from Pulpally to raise consciousness about Mother Nature in view of the landslides in Wayanad. Club flags were also exchanged.

Life-Time Achievement Award & Rotary Recognitions
President Manmohan Bharara read out a citation and announced Life Time Achievement Award to PP Dr. Pushpa Sethi during the Installation Ceremony of Rotary Year 2024-25. Congratulations to PP Dr Pushpa Sethi for her commitment to Rotary and the club over so many years resulting in her being awarded the Life time achievement award. Thanks to her commitment of USD 30 k towards a new Mammography van / unit.
Installation Ceremony of Rotary Year 2024-25; 18th August 2024
The Installation Ceremony of President Manmohan Bharara and his team for the Rotary Year 2024-25 was held at The Leela Ambience Gurugram Hotel & Residences immediately after GOV on 18th August 2024. Chief Guest was DG Dr. Mahesh Trikha. Chairman GOV & Installation was PP Dr. Pushpa Sethi Co-Chair was PP Dr. Mandeep Kishore Goel. President Manmohan Bharara addressed the gathering. He appreciated the way DG Dr. Mahesh Trikha guided all the presidents. President Manmohan Bharara shared his plans for upcoming projects. Overall a very well planned & executed event appreciated by all present. Over 400 Rotarians participated.
Governor’s Official Visit | 18th August 2024
GOV Meeting – 6th Meeting of the Rotary Year 2024-25 was held at The Leela Ambience Gurugram Hotel & Residences, Gurgaon on 18th August 2024. President Manmohan Bharara welcomed DG Rtn. Dr. Mahesh Trikha, AG Hitesh Jain, PDG Dr Sushil Khurana, PP Paramjit Singh Oberoi, PP Subhash Chand Singla and all Office Bearers, Board members, Committee Chairs. DG Rtn. Dr. Mahesh Trikha appreciated all the members for attending the GOV. On request of DG, all present Board Members introduced themselves before the GOV meeting started.
DG Rtn. Dr. Mahesh Trikha had a closed door meeting with Board, Rotaractors and Interactors. He interacted with Interact Club, Rotaractor clubs, & gave them many ideas for carrying out various projects. DG appreciated & shared his expectation with the board members from Rotary Club Gurgaon.
PDG Dr. Sushil Khurana informed that we are working on the Rs.20 Crores project to make Rotary Skill Centre and Vocational Centre at Sector 17 Gurgaon. Approvals are awaited.
Independence Day Celebrations; 15th August 2024
Our Club celebrated Independence Day at Rotary Public School on 15th August 2024. Chief Guest was President Manmohan Bharara. It was very well organized event. Flag Hosting was followed by March Past, Musical Presentations, Dance Performance, Sports etc. Over 500 children including those from free evening school participated.
Blood Donation Camp; 12th August 2024 || 35 units
Magic of Rotary at work! Rotary Club Gurgaon in association with Punjab National Bank organised Blood Donation Camp on 12th August 2024 facilitated by Rtn SC Gulyani and coordinated by PP Dilip Grover at PNB circle office , Opposite Medanta , Gurgaon. Ably supported by AG Hitesh Jain, President Elect Subhash Singla, Rtn Davinder Jain, Hon Secy Prashant Gaba. Due to bad weather the response was little lower. Total donors registered 44. Rejected for low Hb 9. Donations accepted 35. Excellent arrangements by PNB. Efficiently handled by Rotary Blood Bank Gurgaon team.
